Our History
Snake Bite was started in 1997 after the hobby build of my first cobra replica. At that time, the Cobra Replica industry in Australia was just beginning and the range of parts I sought to build an authentic style cobra was either non existent or not of the quality I was seeking.
With my engine rebuilding and fitter and turner background, I found myself manufacturing most of the bright work to suit my needs. From here, my love, enjoyment and passion for cobras gave me a desire to produce a range of high quality parts & accessories to enhance the cobra industry.
I sold my Engine Reconditioning business and started from scratch, working from our home garage, and after 3 years moved into a factory, expanded our line and now ship our parts all over Australia.
Our Business Today
We are pleased to provide Cobra parts, accessories and advice, to both manufacturers, builders & owners of Cobras. We recently expanded our sales & information channels to include the Internet via our Online Store. We are glad to see a strong growth in enthusiasts building & owning Cobra replicas in Australia. The strong growth is not just restricted to Cobra's, but also other Shelby related replicas, such as GT40(Ford GT) & Daytona Coupe.

Don is very proud of his products.
His passion for quality workmanship, integrity, friendly service and advice
is evident in customer testimonials received. Working solely on his own, he is responsible for the design, manufacturing, welding and for some items even the polishing of each bright work part. Because each piece is custom made by hand and not on an assembly line, at times there can be delays for some parts, but the quality is worth the wait. |

Vicki is Don’s wife and works behind the scenes, looking after the accounts & administrative side of the business as well as online sales. She also is responsible for packing and shipping of orders. |
Craig White - Web site Technician

Craig is the latest member of our team. He is the creator of our excellent Online Store. He currently maintains & monitors our web site.
He has also been an active member of the Cobra Car Club of Queensland since 1996. With his brother he has built two Cobra's, a DRB Cobra replica that was registered in 1997 and a Harrison Cobra replica that was registered in 2003. . |
